Large print cryptograms
Cryptogram puzzles printed the size they should have been all along. Free, no email, no account — download the PDF and print as many copies as you like.
What you get on every sheet
- 8.5 × 11 inches, half-inch margins, portrait — ordinary US Letter paper, no resizing.
- Two type sizes. Large print sets the ciphertext at 26 pt; extra large print sets it at 34 pt. Newspapers run it around 9 pt.
- Extra letter and line spacing, so the letters do not run together and you can follow a line across without losing your place.
- Room to write. Every cipher letter sits above its own blank line, wider than a third of an inch, sized for a real pencil rather than a needle-point pen.
- An A–Z decoder strip under each puzzle, so you can keep track of the letters you have already worked out.
- Answers on their own page, never on the puzzle page, so nothing is spoiled by a glance down the sheet.
- Clean, positive quotes from writers you already know — Twain, Shakespeare, Franklin, Austen, Dickens — each printed with the year and the source we verified it from.

Printing tips
In your print dialog choose Actual size or 100% rather than Fit to page, and leave Print backgrounds switched off — these sheets are pure black on white, which is easier to read and uses almost no ink. If you are printing for a group, the PDF is the one to send to the copier.
